CNC Operator
Ferro-Ceramic Grinding Inc. is seeking an entry level CNC Operator to join their team. Full time hire opportunity!
The CNC Operator produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Hours: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm OR 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 3:30pm – 12:00am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operate and Set-up CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings
· Perform CNC Operator work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different ceramics where very close tolerances must be maintained
· Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear
· Ensure product quality is achieved by working to operator owned quality (OOQ) standards and requirements including using a range of measuring equipment and interpreting readings
· Achieve set productivity targets and identify ways of improving productivity
· Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule
· Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by supervisor
· Ensure safe working practices are carried out to minimize risks to the job holder and/or colleagues, including identifying and reporting Safety, Health & Environmental issues
Qualification Requirements:
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred
- Experience of working in a production environment, preferred
· Ability to operate, setting up and maintaining a CNC Machine
· Solid necessary math skills, including measuring and keeping count records
· Ability to follow work instructions
· Ability to run multiple CNC Machines
· Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures

Quality Inspector
Ferro-Ceramic Grinding Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team. Full time hire opportunity!
The role of Mechanical Inspector is to perform mechanical inspection on a variety of components through first piece, in-process and final inspection with the ability to multi task. Ability to run CMM and programming experience a plus. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Ferro-Ceramic’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for performing dimensional/visual inspections of completed products
· Perform functionality test of product
· Become efficient in detecting product defects
· Inspect incoming materials intended for production according to specification
· Proficient in paperwork requirements pertaining to individual customers
· Inspect manufactured products to ensure that product meets all customer requirements as specified on drawings and other inspection criteria, e.g. dimensions, visual, surface defects
· Capable of communicating with quality manager to resolve quality problems
Qualification Requirements:
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED); Associates degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred
- Experience of working in a production environment, preferred
· Proficient in reading micrometers, calipers, and capable of learning to operate the CMM
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral, or diagram form
· Ability to comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
